ReNIKOLA Wins 618MWp Solar Contract Across Malaysia
reNIKOLA Holdings, a Malaysian renewable energy producer partly owned by B.Grimm Power, has been awarded the rights to develop two large-scale solar projects totaling 618 MWp under Malaysia's Large Scale Solar 5+ (LSS 5+) program, a key component of the country's National Energy Transition Roadmap. The projects, located in Kemaman, Terengganu, are expected to be operational by the end of 2027 and will supply clean energy to the national grid for 21 years, attracting an estimated investment of RM1.2 billion (approximately $285 million). These initiatives align with Malaysia's broader strategy to increase renewable energy capacity, reduce coal reliance, and meet rising electricity demand from sectors such as data centers. Beyond energy generation, reNIKOLA plans to integrate biodiversity efforts by establishing an Elephant Sanctuary Foundation and an Elephant Food Corridor to reduce human-elephant conflict and promote conservation. The projects are also anticipated to create hundreds of jobs and strengthen Terengganu's role as an emerging hub in Malaysia's green economy. This development highlights reNIKOLA and B.Grimm Power's commitment to sustainable growth, clean energy, and environmental stewardship in Southeast Asia.
