John Force, a legendary NHRA drag racer, has been transferred from VCU Medical Center in Virginia to a neurological rehabilitation center closer to his home in California after suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a high-speed crash at the Virginia Nationals. Force, 75, endured a fiery crash on June 23 when his car's engine exploded, leading to a collision with concrete walls at over 300 mph. Despite initial severe symptoms, including periods of confusion, he has shown signs of improvement, such as conversing with family and walking with assistance. His daughter Brittany Force celebrated her birthday by taking him for ice cream, marking a positive milestone. However, his medical team cautions that he still faces a long and challenging recovery process. The rehabilitation center was chosen for its success in treating other race car drivers with similar injuries.
