Suspect Named in Tempe Shooting Incident

A shooting incident unfolded at the Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at The Buttes, initiated by suspect Jesus Enriquez-Gonzalez near Interstate 10. Enriquez-Gonzalez reportedly fired shots at vehicles and later entered the resort, injuring two contracted workers and threatening others, including a woman and her children, with a firearm. The suspect was eventually apprehended by Tempe police, with assistance from the Department of Public Safety, and is now in custody. The two injured individuals were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident caused temporary road closures and an evacuation at the hotel. Investigations are ongoing, but authorities have stated there is no longer any threat to the public.
