Actor John Wayne Gacy
Jack Merrill, a 65-year-old actor known for his roles in 'Law & Order' and 'Grey’s Anatomy', has shared a traumatic experience from 1978 when he was abducted and raped by infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy. Merrill recounted how he was approached by Gacy while walking home from a YMCA at the age of 19 and accepted a ride, during which Gacy drugged him and took him to his home. The actor detailed the horrific events, including being restrained and assaulted, but chose not to fight back, believing it saved his life. After the incident, which he kept secret for decades, he later connected his ordeal to Gacy's crimes when news broke of bodies found near where he was picked up. Gacy was convicted of murdering 33 young men and boys and was executed in 1994. Merrill is now sharing his story publicly through his one-man show, 'The Save', to confront his past and raise awareness about sexual assault.
