Four Arrested in Gaithersburg Retail Theft Ring

Four women from Washington, D.C. have been arrested in connection with a string of retail thefts in Montgomery County, including a significant incident at a Lululemon store where over $10,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. The suspects, Mone Herndon, Shawn Stewart, Precious Spivey, and an unnamed 17-year-old, face felony theft charges and are believed to be part of an organized theft ring that has targeted multiple retailers. Police apprehended the group at the Downtown Crown shopping center after they were seen splitting up and stealing items from the store. One suspect was caught at the store entrance, while the others fled but were captured nearby after a brief chase. The group is also linked to other thefts at Bath & Body Works and Lenscrafters, with investigations confirming multiple incidents throughout the year. The three adult suspects have been released on bond, while the minor was returned to her parents.
