Las Vegas Grand Prix Generates $934 Million Economic Impact

The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix generated an economic impact of $934 million for Southern Nevada, a decrease from the previous year's impact of approximately $1.5 billion. While the event attracted 306,000 attendees, with 175,000 being out-of-town visitors who spent an average of $2,400 each, this figure reflects a significant drop in spending overall compared to 2023. The Grand Prix raised $45 million in tax revenue for Nevada, contributing to funding for schools. Despite the decline, the race is now recognized as Las Vegas's largest recurring event, surpassing even the Super Bowl. Organizers have announced plans for the Grand Prix Plaza, an immersive fan experience set to open March 29, 2025, which aims to enhance visitor engagement with the sport. This plaza will feature an interactive museum and racing simulators, further solidifying Formula 1's presence in Las Vegas.
