Simi Singh Awaits Liver Transplant in India

Indian-born Irish cricketer Simi Singh is in critical condition with acute liver failure and is awaiting a liver transplant in Gurugram, India. His condition began with an undiagnosed fever in Ireland, leading his family to seek treatment in India for better medical attention. Despite initial treatments for tuberculosis at PGI Chandigarh, his condition worsened, resulting in acute liver failure. His wife, Agamdeep Kaur, is set to donate part of her liver for the transplant. Simi Singh, an all-rounder, has played 35 ODIs and 53 T20Is for Ireland since his debut in 2017. His family remains hopeful for a successful transplant and recovery.
