Jason Windsor Named CEO of Abrdn Plc

Abrdn Plc has officially appointed Jason Windsor as its new permanent Chief Executive Officer following a thorough succession process after the resignation of Stephen Bird in May. Windsor, who had been serving as interim CEO, is recognized for his significant experience in finance, having previously been CFO at Persimmon Homes and Aviva. Chairman Sir Douglas Flint praised Windsor as the unanimous choice of the board, highlighting his strong impression both internally and externally. Windsor expressed optimism about the potential for growth within Abrdn’s core businesses, aiming to enhance performance for clients and shareholders. Ian Jenkins will continue as interim Chief Financial Officer while the search for a permanent replacement begins. Windsor's annual salary has been set at £800,000, slightly lower than Bird's previous compensation.
