Amazon plans 1,000 new UK apprenticeships in 2025

Amazon is set to create over 1,000 new apprenticeships in the UK in 2025, expanding opportunities across its various businesses, including Amazon Web Services and Prime Video. The recruitment process is already underway for more than 40 programs, covering fields such as data science, cybersecurity, HR, and engineering, with a focus on incorporating generative AI training. Amazon UK's country manager, John Boumphrey, emphasized that the apprenticeship program is designed for individuals at various stages of their careers, whether entering the workforce or seeking a career change. Since launching its apprenticeship initiative in 2013, Amazon has provided around 7,000 apprenticeships, aiming to enhance skills and qualifications for both internal and external candidates. The program is recognized as one of the UK's top schemes by the Government’s Department for Education, further cementing Amazon's commitment to workforce development. The announcement comes ahead of National Apprenticeship Week, highlighting the importance of learning and growth in various career paths.
