7-Year-Old Boy Killed Crossing Gastonia Street

A 7-year-old boy was fatally struck by a Jeep Cherokee while crossing West Hudson Boulevard in Gastonia, North Carolina, with another child just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27. The boy was initially taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and later transferred to Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, where he died around 10 p.m. The 76-year-old female driver stopped after the accident and has not been charged as the investigation continues.
