Ocala Man Killed in Marion County Hit-and-Run

A 66-year-old man from Ocala was killed in a hit-and-run crash on County Road 464 (Maricamp Road) near Bahia Road in Marion County late Wednesday night. The pedestrian was struck while walking in the westbound turn lane by an unknown westbound vehicle, which then fled the scene without reporting the incident. The crash occurred in a poorly lit area with no street lighting, possibly contributing to reduced visibility. Investigators believe the suspect’s vehicle sustained damage to the front grille and hood, with gray-colored grille pieces found at the scene.
