Sundance Film Festival 2025 Features Notable Premieres

The 2025 Sundance Film Festival, scheduled for January 23 to February 2 in Park City, Utah, will feature several music documentaries, including Questlove’s highly anticipated film 'SLY LIVES! (aka The Burden of Black Genius)', which explores the life and legacy of Sly Stone. In addition to this, the festival will premiere 'It’s Never Over', a documentary about Jeff Buckley, and 'Selena y Los Dinos', which offers new insights into the life of Selena Quintanilla using previously unseen footage from her family's archives. The festival will also include 'One to One: John & Yoko', chronicling the early relationship of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and a documentary about the Chicago House music scene titled 'Move Ya Body: The Birth Of House'. The event promises to delve into the complexities of Black artistry in America and the impact of these iconic musicians. Tickets for the festival will be available starting January 16, 2025.
