Roku Surpasses Q2 Estimates, Ups Guidance
Roku reported $1.11 billion in Q2 2025 revenue, marking a 15% year-over-year increase and surpassing Wall Street expectations. The company posted net income of $0.07 per share, reversing a loss from the previous year and outperforming consensus estimates. Platform revenue, which includes advertising and subscription sales, grew 18% to $976 million, boosted by video advertising strength and the acquisition of Frndly TV. Device segment revenue declined 6%, but Roku's overall gross profit rose 17%, and streaming hours increased by 5.2 billion to reach 35.4 billion. Roku raised its full-year guidance for both platform revenue and adjusted EBITDA, and launched a $400 million stock buyback program. A new advertising partnership with Amazon is expected to further drive Roku’s reach and monetization.
