Two Fatal Shootings Investigated in South Carolina, Florida

After the shooting, Trevor walked to a nearby church where he called 911 and surrendered to deputies, who took him into custody. Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook confirmed the parents died from gunshot wounds inflicted by their son's firearm, which was left at the scene. Authorities are investigating Trevor's mental health and school history but have stated there is no further threat to the community. Meanwhile, in Summerville, South Carolina, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a separate shooting incident that resulted in the death of a female victim, with increased law enforcement presence in the area as the investigation continues. The identity of the Summerville victim has not yet been released by the coroner’s office.
