MyBladder Supplement Recalled Over E. coli

Purity Products has recalled one lot of its MyBladder dietary supplement (60-count bottles), identified as lot No. 03042517 (some notices list 030425176), after routine testing detected two strains of E. coli. The product was sold nationwide via direct delivery through Walmart and Amazon websites. Tests found E. coli O7:K1 (IAI39/ExPEC) and E. coli 1303—non–Shiga-toxin-producing strains that can cause gastrointestinal illness and pose higher risk to infants, older adults, and immunocompromised people; no illnesses have been reported. The company attributes the contamination to a temporary change in suppliers and says these strains are not permitted under current regulatory standards.
