Lansing Man Killed, Suspect Charged After South Lansing Shooting

Timothy McGovern, 26, was fatally shot early on June 28 in south Lansing on Beau Jardin Drive, near Jolly and Dunckel roads. Elijah Delvonce Larkins, 22, from Delta Township, was arrested and charged with murder and felony firearm possession in connection with the shooting. Larkins has been arraigned and faces upcoming court hearings, with bond denied by a magistrate. Lansing police continue to investigate the incident and are seeking information from the public. Additional shootings over the weekend involved a 15-year-old boy and two others, with police actively pursuing suspects.
