Sweden Plans Drone Purchase for Ukraine From Poland

Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson announced plans to purchase Polish-made drones for Ukraine, emphasizing the need for a balanced arms purchasing relationship between Poland and Sweden. This initiative is part of Sweden's current aid package for Ukraine, which includes a commitment of €20 million for reconnaissance drones. Additionally, Sweden has ordered 18 Archer mobile howitzers from BAE Systems, valued at approximately $300 million, to bolster Ukraine’s artillery capabilities. The support package also encompasses five artillery location radar systems and aims to enhance Ukraine's defense in ongoing conflicts.
