The scam came to light when an Ahmedabad bullion trader was duped by two men who delivered fake currency while purchasing gold. The counterfeit notes also bore the misspelled 'Resole Bank of India', and images of them quickly went viral on social media. Kher humorously reacted to the situation on his social media, expressing disbelief at his image being used in such a manner. The police are currently investigating the case and analyzing CCTV footage to trace the suspects. Kher is also preparing for the release of his upcoming film 'Emergency', which has faced delays due to censorship issues.
