Two Men Charged With Murder After Sheffield Teen Hit-and-Run Death

Two men, Zulkernain Ahmed, 20, and Amaan Ahmed, 26, both from Sheffield, have been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi following a fatal hit-and-run incident on Staniforth Road in the Darnall area. The grey Audi they were driving collided first with an 18-year-old electric bike rider, who sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, before hitting Abdullah, who later died in hospital. The defendants did not enter pleas and have been remanded in custody, with further court hearings scheduled. Abdullah had recently arrived in the UK from Yemen seeking a better future and was described by relatives as a kind boy devoted to his family and enthusiastic about learning English. Two other individuals arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
