Whitney Houston Concert Film to Premiere Worldwide

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Whitney Houston's historic 1994 concerts in South Africa, a remastered concert film titled 'Whitney Houston: The Concert for a New South Africa' will be shown in theaters on October 23 and 27. This film features never-before-seen footage from her performance in Durban, where she became the first major Western artist to perform in post-apartheid South Africa following Nelson Mandela's election. The concerts, which drew over 200,000 attendees across three locations, symbolized freedom and unity, with proceeds benefiting local children's charities. A new live album featuring a previously unreleased track will also be released on November 8. Pat Houston, executor of Whitney's estate, expressed excitement about sharing this significant event with both fans and the new generation in South Africa. The concert film aims to honor Whitney's legacy and her love for the country and its people.
