Ping Launches i240 Irons, iDi Driving Irons with Enhanced Forgiveness, Control

Ping has introduced the new i240 irons as the fourth generation in their popular i-series, aiming to blend tour-inspired precision with enhanced forgiveness and playability for a wider range of golfers. The i240 irons feature a traditional cavity-back design with a multi-material cavity badge and an activated elastomer insert that improves feel, sound, and energy transfer while saving weight to increase launch and moment of inertia (MOI). Compared to the i230, the i240 offers about 2.5% more MOI, tighter dispersion, and improved spin control, catering to low- to mid-handicap players who want a compact iron with better forgiveness. Meanwhile, Ping's new iDi driving irons provide a hollow-body design with a forged maraging steel face and internal air chamber, combining distance and ball speed with a compact, low-profile shape suited for stronger players seeking control off the tee. The iDi irons are available in 2-, 3-, and 4-iron lofts, designed to deliver penetrating ball flights and softer landing options, especially on firm, fast courses.
