Verizon Launches Dedicated 5G Network for 40,000 First Responders Nationwide

Verizon has launched a dedicated 5G Ultra Wideband network slice for first responders, providing public safety agencies with exclusive, reliable, and high-performance communication capacity, especially during emergencies and periods of high network congestion. This network slicing ensures first responders have priority access and tailored connectivity for critical applications, supporting over 40,000 agencies nationwide. In addition, Inseego Corp. announced that four of its wireless broadband devices have earned the Verizon Frontline-Verified designation, confirming their reliability and secure operation on Verizon's network for public safety and mission-critical communications. These certified devices provide features such as connectivity priority, preemption, traffic segmentation, and FIPS140-2 certification for secure data protection, further enhancing the technological capabilities available to first responders. The collaboration between Verizon and Inseego underscores a growing focus on delivering robust, secure, and scalable solutions to keep emergency services connected in challenging environments.
