Chopra to Compete June 21 at Paris Diamond League

Neeraj Chopra is set to compete in the 2025 Paris Diamond League javelin event at Stade Sebastien Charlety on June 21, aiming for his first Diamond League title of the season after two second-place finishes behind Germany's Julian Weber. Chopra previously breached the 90-meter mark with a 90.23m throw in Doha, though Weber won that meet with a 91.06m effort, intensifying their rivalry. The Paris competition features eight top throwers, including two-time world champion Anderson Peters, with five athletes in the field having thrown over 90 meters. Chopra last competed in Paris as a junior in 2017, finishing fifth, and skipped last year’s event to focus on the Olympics, where he won silver. There will be no live TV broadcast in India, but fans can watch the event via the Wanda Diamond League's official YouTube and Facebook channels. The meet is seen as a significant test for Chopra before he returns to India for the inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic.
