Sony Shifts PS Plus Focus to PS5 Games

Sony has announced that starting January 2026, PlayStation Plus will focus primarily on PS5 titles, phasing out PS4 games from its Monthly Games and Game Catalog offerings. This shift aligns with the trend of players increasingly redeeming PS5 titles. However, previously redeemed PS4 games will remain accessible to subscribers who continue their membership. The February 2025 lineup includes the PS5-exclusive Payday 3, along with High on Life and Pac-Man World Re-Pac, both available on PS4 and PS5. The decision to focus on PS5 has drawn mixed reactions from PS4 users, some of whom feel underserved by the changes. Sony plans to continue optimizing PlayStation Plus by adding new PS5 titles and enhancing overall benefits.
