Concurrently, anti-cybercrime officers are working to remove the unauthorized release of the athletes' personal data that appeared on social media. Israel's foreign minister has warned of a potential Iranian-backed plot aiming at Israeli athletes and tourists, prompting the provision of 24-hour protection for the athletes by elite tactical units and assistance from Israel's internal security service, Shin Bet. Despite investigations, no links to Iran or foreign entities have been established thus far. France has deployed extensive security measures for the Olympics, involving around 18,000 troops along with police forces.
