Oklahoma Secures First 2027 Recruiting Commitment from Texas Offensive Tackle

The Oklahoma Sooners secured their first commitment for the 2027 recruiting class with offensive lineman Luke Wilson from Southlake Carroll High School in Texas. Wilson, an unrated prospect standing 6-foot-7 and weighing 285 pounds, has received offers from multiple programs including Florida State, Arizona State, TCU, and Wake Forest. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech bolstered its 2026 recruiting class by adding three-star quarterback Cole Bergeron, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect from Louisiana, who fills the void left by a previous quarterback decommitment. Bergeron chose Virginia Tech over Georgia Tech and Colorado, providing a key piece in the Hokies' efforts to strengthen their quarterback position.
