Three men have been arrested in connection with a machete attack in San Jose's Alum Rock neighborhood that occurred on June 27, resulting in a victim suffering multiple stab wounds. The suspects, identified as Juan Ramirez, Eddie Herena, and Raul Moreno, allegedly tracked down their victim after a prior altercation and attacked him with machetes, leading to charges of attempted murder. The victim was hospitalized with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Herena, a previously convicted felon, was released from prison in 2018 after serving time for homicide. Following a thorough investigation, the suspects were arrested between September 10 and 11 and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. San Jose officials expressed gratitude for the swift action taken by police to ensure community safety.
