The Indian women's hockey team lost 1-2 to China in their opening match of the FIH Women's Hockey Pro League 2023/24. Vandana Katariya scored the opening goal for India in the 15th minute, but China secured a comeback victory with goals from Wen Dan and Bingfeng Gu. China had more possession and managed more circle penetrations, eventually scoring the winning goal from a penalty corner. India will face the Netherlands in their next match.
