Nintendo Switch 2 Launches June 5 With Mario Kart Bundle, New Games

Nintendo has announced the Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5, accompanied by major new titles such as Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Fortnite, and Hogwarts Legacy. Enhanced editions of popular existing Switch games, including Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, will also be released with improved visuals, performance, and new content. The console introduces upgraded JoyCons that can function similarly to a PC mouse, enhancing gameplay for certain titles. Retailers are offering bundles like the Mario Kart World set, which constitutes a significant portion of launch shipments, particularly in Japan where it makes up about 85% of stock. The Switch 2's launch is also prompting renewed interest in legacy Switch games, many of which will be compatible and may see performance benefits on the new hardware.
