Florida Father Dies Saving Daughters From Drowning on Father's Day

On Father's Day, Antwon Wilson, a 33-year-old father from Lauderhill, Florida, tragically drowned while rescuing his two daughters from drowning at Fort Lauderdale Beach. Despite lifeguards having ended their shifts, they quickly responded to the emergency after Wilson went into the water to save his struggling children near the B Ocean Resort. A good Samaritan, Eslam Saad, also attempted to help and managed to bring one of the daughters closer to shore, but Wilson did not resurface after keeping his daughter afloat until help arrived. Wilson was found underwater, taken to the hospital, but was pronounced dead, while both children survived. His family remembers him as a devoted and loving father who selflessly sacrificed his life to save his child.
