Paramount+ Sets 2026 Production for 'NOLA King'
Paramount+ has officially greenlit NOLA King, a spinoff of its hit series Tulsa King, starring Samuel L. Jackson in his first-ever lead television role as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a former associate of Dwight Manfredi from their time in federal prison. Jackson's character will debut in Tulsa King Season 3, premiering this September, before leading the new series. The storyline follows Washington as he is sent by the Renzetti crime family to Tulsa to target Manfredi but, inspired by Dwight's transformation, returns to New Orleans to rebuild his life. In New Orleans, Washington faces threats from both old criminal rivals and police adversaries. Production on NOLA King is scheduled to begin in early 2026. The series is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Sylvester Stallone, and Jackson, with Paramount executives praising Jackson's global appeal and the franchise's evolution.
