Michael Moore Joins Palestinian Film Production Team

Michael Moore has joined the production team of 'From Ground Zero' as an executive producer, a collection of short films by 22 Palestinian filmmakers, recently shortlisted for the 97th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. The anthology, created amidst the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, showcases creativity and resilience through a mix of animation, documentary, and fiction. Moore praised the filmmakers, noting their work as a 'cinematic miracle' in a context described by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch as genocide. The film, coordinated by Gaza-born director Rashid Masharawi, is set to be released in U.S. theaters on January 3 by Watermelon Pictures. 'From Ground Zero' initially faced political challenges at Cannes before premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, receiving acclaim for its poignant storytelling.
