Brockton Man Arrested for Stealing Truck with Dogs Inside in Weymouth

Marcus Morse, 29, of Brockton, was arrested after stealing a 2011 Nissan Frontier pickup truck from a McDonald's parking lot in Weymouth, Massachusetts, with two French bulldogs inside. The truck was left unlocked with the keys inside while the owner picked up food. Authorities tracked Morse after a stolen vehicle listing with the truck's license plate appeared online, leading them to his residence in Brockton where the dogs were found inside the heated vehicle. Morse faces multiple charges, including larceny of a motor vehicle, animal cruelty, receiving a stolen vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and outstanding warrants. The dogs were evaluated by Brockton Animal Control and safely returned to their owner. Morse is held at Weymouth Police Department pending arraignment at Quincy District Court.
