Search Underway for Missing British Doctor in Pyrenees

His wife, Anne, reported that he sent a distress message stating he had fallen and could not move, but since then, there has been no contact. She emphasized that he did not have the proper equipment for such a hike and lacked familiarity with the area, having only hiked for short periods in the past. Search efforts involving dogs and helicopters have been hampered by poor weather conditions, raising concerns about his safety as he spends a second night alone in challenging circumstances. Anne is now in France, appealing for any witnesses who may have seen him or his campsite. The family remains hopeful despite the difficult situation as search operations continue.
