Division I Women’s Tennis Awards 1,462 ITA Scholar-Athletes, 222 All-Academic Teams

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has recognized numerous collegiate tennis players and teams for their academic excellence during the 2024-25 academic year. Eight members of the University of North Carolina women's tennis team and seven from Georgia Tech earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, with both teams also being named ITA All-Academic Teams for maintaining team GPAs above 3.2. The University of Michigan women's tennis team received the ITA All-Academic Team distinction for the sixth consecutive year, highlighted by four athletes achieving Scholar-Athlete status. Stanford men's tennis excelled academically as well, with nine players honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes and the team earning All-Academic Team status alongside an impressive competitive season. Overall, 1,462 Division I women’s tennis players and 222 teams nationwide earned ITA academic honors, emphasizing the strong commitment to balancing athletic and academic success in college tennis. The criteria for individual and team awards include maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.5 and 3.2 respectively, alongside institutional eligibility requirements.
