Division I Women’s Tennis Awards 1,462 ITA Scholar-Athletes, 222 All-Academic Teams
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has recognized numerous collegiate tennis players and teams for their academic excellence during the 2024-25 academic year. Eight members of the University of North Carolina women's tennis team and seven from Georgia Tech earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, with both teams also being named ITA All-Academic Teams for maintaining team GPAs above 3.2. Overall, 1,462 Division I women’s tennis players and 222 teams nationwide earned ITA academic honors, emphasizing the strong commitment to balancing athletic and academic success in college tennis. The criteria for individual and team awards include maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.5 and 3.2 respectively, alongside institutional eligibility requirements.
