Colt Gray to Face Court in Georgia Shooting
Colt Gray, a 14-year-old accused of a mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia, is set to make his first court appearance, facing charges of four counts of felony murder after allegedly killing two teachers and two students, and injuring nine others. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) confirmed that Gray will be tried as an adult. His father, Colin Gray, has also been arrested and charged with multiple counts related to the incident, including involuntary manslaughter, for allegedly allowing his son access to a firearm. The shooting has prompted discussions about parental accountability in school shootings, with references to similar cases in Michigan. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the attack or how the weapon was obtained. Gray was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, surrendering to school resource officers.
