Phoenix Police Vehicle Rolls Over Injuring Two Officers, Passenger

Shortly before noon on Oct. 18, a Phoenix Police Department Tahoe rolled onto its roof after a two-vehicle crash at 7th Avenue and Grant Street in downtown Phoenix. Preliminary findings from Phoenix police indicate the other vehicle ran a red light and struck the police vehicle, leaving the Tahoe overturned on its roof. Two officers and a third person (described variously as a passenger or an arrestee) were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; the other driver was treated at the scene or reported unhurt. The roadway was closed while investigators processed the scene, and officials said they do not currently suspect impairment.
