Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos has announced his departure from the team after being benched in favor of Grayson James. Castellanos, who was the Eagles' starter for two seasons, was replaced during a recent game against Syracuse, during which James led the team to a comeback victory. Despite his improved passing performance this season, Castellanos' rushing effectiveness declined, partly due to injuries. Coach Bill O'Brien, in his first year, cited team interests for the quarterback change.
