Repsol Ends 30-Year Sponsorship of Honda MotoGP

Repsol will end its 30-year sponsorship of the Honda MotoGP team after the conclusion of the 2024 season, marking the end of one of the most successful partnerships in motorcycle racing history. The collaboration, which began in 1995, has resulted in 15 rider championships, 10 team championships, and 183 race wins, with renowned riders like Mick Doohan, Valentino Rossi, and Marc Marquez contributing to this success. Despite the strong historical ties, recent performance struggles for Honda, particularly after Marquez's departure, have led to this decision. Repsol expressed gratitude for the long-standing partnership and intends to continue its involvement in motor racing, focusing on product development. The shift will also see Honda transition away from its iconic Repsol livery to incorporate its own colors in future races.
