Three Arrested in Fatal Christmas Eve Crash

On Christmas Eve, a woman in her 60s was killed in a collision with a grey Jaguar XJ on Palmerston Road in Buckhurst Hill. Emergency services were called shortly after 7:30 AM, but despite their efforts, she died at the scene. Following the incident, police arrested three individuals—a 20-year-old man from Loughton, a 17-year-old boy from Dagenham, and a 16-year-old boy from Chingford—on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. The 20-year-old has been released on bail until March 13, while the two teenagers are under bail until March 14. Detective Sergeant Sam Nason has expressed condolences to the victim's family and urged anyone with information or footage related to the incident to come forward. The police are particularly interested in any sightings or evidence concerning the grey Jaguar around the time of the crash.
