McClung Aims for Third Straight Dunk Contest Win

Mac McClung, currently with the Orlando Magic on a two-way contract, will aim to make history at the 2025 NBA Slam Dunk Contest by becoming the first player to win the event three consecutive times. McClung, a two-time champion known for his spectacular dunks, including over the towering Shaquille O'Neal, will compete against Andre Jackson Jr. of the Milwaukee Bucks, and rookies Matas Buzelis and Stephon Castle from the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs, respectively. Despite limited NBA playing time, McClung has excelled in the G-League, earning MVP honors with impressive scoring and athleticism. If successful, he will join Nate Robinson as the only players with three slam dunk titles, although Robinson's victories were not consecutive. The contest is part of the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in San Francisco on February 15, and McClung's participation is generating excitement for the traditionally lukewarm event.
