Shaun Anderson Wins Classic Senior Manx Grand Prix

Shaun Anderson achieved a thrilling maiden victory in the 2024 Classic Senior Manx Grand Prix, narrowly defeating racing legend John McGuinness by just 0.163 seconds after a dramatic one-lap race affected by wet weather. McGuinness, who had led for most of the race, highlighted that he lost crucial time in the damp sections, particularly between Cronk-ny-Mona and the finish line. Anderson, who described himself as 'speechless', noted that he had been chasing a win at the event since 2010. The race was shortened due to weather disruptions, combining it with the Junior Classic MGP class, and took place under challenging conditions. Meanwhile, Adam McLean secured third place, edging out Mike Browne by less than a second, as the competition remained fierce throughout the event. McGuinness, having participated in the Classic Senior class, will not compete further in the 2024 Manx GP.
