Gotham FC's Tierna Davidson Out for 2025 Season with Torn ACL

Tierna Davidson, a key defender for NJ/NY Gotham FC and the U.S. women's national team, has suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in her left knee during a match against the Houston Dash. This non-contact injury occurred in the 44th minute, and it marks her second serious knee injury in recent years, following a similar ACL tear in 2022. Gotham FC's general manager, Yael Averbuch West, expressed deep sympathy and assured that the club will support Davidson through her recovery process, emphasizing her resilience. Davidson was also slated to play in upcoming U.S. national team friendlies against Brazil, but she will now be replaced by Gisele Thompson.
