DC's Clayface Film Part of Gunn's Universe

DC Studios is advancing with their upcoming film 'Clayface', part of James Gunn’s DC Universe, which will explore the horror-thriller aspects of the Batman villain. The film's script is penned by horror aficionado Mike Flanagan, known for works such as 'Doctor Sleep'. Currently, DC is considering two directors with horror backgrounds, Jeff Waldow ('Truth or Dare') and James Watkins ('Speak No Evil'), to lead the project. It is set for release on September 11, 2026, with production overseen by Gunn, Peter Safran, Matt Reeves, and Lynn Harris. The film is expected to present a new take on Clayface, different from previous Batman adaptations. The casting process is about to begin, though no actors have been confirmed yet.
