Multiple Vegetation Fires Erupt Across California

Firefighters responded to multiple vegetation and grass fires across California, including a three-alarm blaze near Oakley Road and Willow Avenue in Antioch that threatened residential neighborhoods and prompted smoke advisories for nearby communities. In Fresno, a vegetation fire near Woodward Park was quickly contained by 53 firefighters and was confirmed to have been started accidentally by a lawnmower in dry grass. Separately, crews also responded to a grass fire near Rio Linda, with the cause not yet determined. Authorities advised residents with respiratory sensitivities to take precautions due to smoke from these incidents.
