Beverly Hills Police Investigate Swastika Drawn Outside Elementary School During Rosh Hashanah

A man was captured on surveillance footage drawing a swastika on the sidewalk outside El Rodeo Elementary School in Beverly Hills, an act that occurred just hours before the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah began. The Beverly Hills Unified School District promptly removed the graffiti and alerted the Beverly Hills Police Department, which is actively investigating the incident. The school district condemned the act as hateful and emphasized its commitment to student safety, highlighting recent improvements in campus security measures including surveillance and emergency training. Superintendent Alex Cherniss stressed that every student deserves to attend school without fear and assured the community that the district would respond transparently and responsibly to such acts of hate. Police and school officials have released images of the suspect to the public in hopes of identifying and locating him.
