Trish Smith, 42, has been charged with the murder of her two sons, Russell (11) and Ben (9), after they were found dead in their Blue Mountains home. The boys' father discovered the bodies and Smith with self-inflicted wounds. She was hospitalized and later charged with two counts of domestic violence-related murder upon her release. NSW Premier Chris Minns confirmed Smith had been previously dismissed from a government job due to mental health issues, which could be a focus of the investigation.
