Jose Pacheco charged in 2021 murder of Franklin Mane

Jose Pacheco, a 23-year-old from Worcester, has been charged with murder in the 2021 killing of 19-year-old Franklin Mane, whose body was discovered in Leominster on May 12, 2021. Pacheco is accused of being one of the shooters responsible for Mane's death, which was ruled a homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds. He is currently in custody on unrelated charges and is scheduled for arraignment on April 11. This follows the May 2023 murder charge against Wilbert Nieves, 25, also connected to Mane's death, with his case still ongoing. The investigation into the murder remains active, involving both local police and the Massachusetts State Police. Mane was known to associate with street gangs and was last seen alive in Worcester on March 6, 2021.
