Jaguars Sign Patrick Mekari, Bolster Offensive Line

The Jacksonville Jaguars are actively strengthening their offensive line ahead of the new season by signing former Ravens guard Patrick Mekari to a three-year deal worth $37.5 million, potentially rising to $39 million. Mekari, who has extensive experience and versatility across the line, is seen as a key addition to address the Jaguars' pressing need for a starting right guard following Brandon Scherff's impending departure. Additionally, the Jaguars are enhancing their roster by signing tight end Hunter Long and wide receiver Dyami Brown, both aimed at improving offensive depth. Long, who played with the Rams, joins Jacksonville on a two-year contract, while Brown, who was productive with the Commanders last season, signs a one-year deal. The Jaguars are also keeping offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen by giving him an original round tender, providing depth as they navigate a roster overhaul.
