US Marine Charged with Child Exploitation Released on Bond, Investigators Seek More Victims
Justin Ryder Simmons, a 19-year-old U.S. Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, was arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of children and extradited to Arapahoe County, Colorado. He faces multiple felony charges including inducing or enticing children, possession of child sexual exploitation material, and internet sexual exploitation of a child. Simmons allegedly used the Snapchat username "simmonsj6842" and phone number 970-308-5998 to contact victims online. After being booked on a $25,000 bond, he bonded out and is currently not in custody. Investigators from the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force believe there are additional victims and urge anyone with information or who may have been contacted by Simmons to come forward. Simmons is due back in Arapahoe County Court on August 5.
